About

Take a look at this list of top political bloggers. Notice anything?

None of them are women.

It’s not that women aren’t involved in politics, and it’s not that women don’t get involved in blogging, so why don’t we hear more from them online?

The idea behind this site is to change this. We want to provide a way for women who write about politics to reach a wider audience and a space for us all to meet each other and spark discussion.

Our homepage brings together writing from female bloggers who have agreed to participate. You can read what they have to say, explore their own blogs, and discuss the issues they raise on our discussion board.

We’re always keen to include more points of view, so if you’d like to be part of the site or have your blog included in our directory, please contact us.

Missive is run by Caroline Crampton and Sarah Rainey. They are both studying for an MA in Newspaper Journalism at City University.

Caroline studied English Literature at Oxford University and wants to be a political columnist. She is originally from Canterbury in Kent, and now lives in London.

Sarah studied Law at Cambridge University and wants to be an international correspondent. She has lived in Belfast and Madrid, and currently lives in east London.
